     Ada Alvera Bagwell was born on 23 September 1865 in Clarkston, DeKalb County, Georgia. She was the daughter of James Madison Bagwell and Amanda Parisade E Brewer. As of 26 March 1896,her married name was Akins. Ada Alvera Bagwell married Columbus Hart Akins on 26 March 1896 at Floyd County, Georgia. Ada Alvera Bagwell died on 3 August 1935 in Browns Station, Jefferson County, Alabama, at age 69. She was buried at Brighton Memorial Gardens, Bessemer, Jefferson County, Alabama.

     Ida Dora Bagwell was born on 8 January 1867 in Georgia. She was the daughter of James Madison Bagwell and Amanda Parisade E Brewer.

     Lura Bagwell was born on 18 January 1870 in Cross Keys, DeKalb County, Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of James Madison Bagwell and Amanda Parisade E Brewer. As of before 1896,her married name was Henderson.² Lura Bagwell married D.P. Henderson before 1896.² As of after 1897,her married name was Cash.³ Lura Bagwell married Wash H. Cash after 1897.³ Lura Bagwell died on 30 January 1966 in DeKalb County, Georgia, at age 96.¹ She was buried at Rehoboth Cemetery, Tucker, DeKalb County, Georgia.¹

     Hetta L. Bagwell was also known as Ella Bagwell.¹ She was born on 17 May 1871 in Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of James Madison Bagwell and Amanda Parisade E Brewer. As of 24 December 1893,her married name was Talton.² Hetta L. Bagwell married William O. Talton on 24 December 1893 at DeKalb County, Georgia.² Hetta L. Bagwell died on 25 October 1948 in Tucker, Georgia, at age 77. She was buried at Rehoboth Cemetery, Tucker, DeKalb County, Georgia.¹

     James Albert Bagwell was born on 3 December 1872 in DeKalb County, Georgia. He was the son of James Madison Bagwell and Amanda Parisade E Brewer. James Albert Bagwell married Amanda Jane Talton on 27 December 1891 at DeKalb County, Georgia.¹ James Albert Bagwell died on 27 December 1960 in DeKalb County, Georgia, at age 88.² He was buried at Rehoboth Cemetery, Tucker, DeKalb County, Georgia.²

     Caldona E. Bagwell was also known as Callie Bagwell.¹ She was born in 1874 in Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of James Madison Bagwell and Amanda Parisade E Brewer. As of after 1890,her married name was Summerlin.² Caldona E. Bagwell married William A. Summerlin after 1890.² Caldona E. Bagwell died in 1962.¹ She was buried at Sweetwater Baptist Church and Cemetery, Duluth, Gwinnett County, Georgia.¹

     Elizabeth M. 'Lizzie' Thompson was born on 10 February 1848 in Georgia.¹ She married James Madison Bagwell, son of Albert Galliton Bagwell and Rebecca "Jane" G. Walker, on 15 August 1875 at DeKalb County, Georgia. Elizabeth M. 'Lizzie' Thompson died on 28 July 1893 in DeKalb County, Georgia, at age 45.¹ She was buried at Bagwell Family Cemtery, Tucker, DeKalb County, Georgia.¹

     Maria (?) married David Ashley Jr. Bagwell, son of David Ashley Bagwell and Julie Ross Lott, on 26 October 2013 at Daphne, Baldwin County, Alabama.

     Laura J. Bagwell was born in July 1876 in Georgia. She was the daughter of James Madison Bagwell and Elizabeth M. 'Lizzie' Thompson. Laura J. Bagwell married William Pickett Jones on 25 December 1894 at DeKalb County, Georgia. Laura J. Bagwell died in 1948 in Decatur, Georgia.¹ She was buried at Rehoboth Cemetery, Tucker, DeKalb County, Georgia.

     William Pickett Jones was born on 12 May 1873 in Tucker, Georgia.¹ He married Laura J. Bagwell, daughter of James Madison Bagwell and Elizabeth M. 'Lizzie' Thompson, on 25 December 1894 at DeKalb County, Georgia. William Pickett Jones died in 1932.¹ He was buried at Rehoboth Cemetery, Tucker, DeKalb County, Georgia.¹

     Sara Elizabeth Bagwell was also known as Sarah Elizabeth Bagwell. She was born on 3 April 1882 in DeKalb County, Georgia. She was the daughter of James Madison Bagwell and Elizabeth M. 'Lizzie' Thompson. Sara Elizabeth Bagwell married William Andrew Ambrose in 1897 at Tucker, Georgia. Sara Elizabeth Bagwell died on 11 March 1954 in Miami, Miami-Dade County, Florida, at age 71. She was buried at Memorial Plan Flagler Memorial Park, Miami, Miami-Dade County, Florida.

     William Andrew Ambrose was born in 1878 in Georgia. He married Sara Elizabeth Bagwell, daughter of James Madison Bagwell and Elizabeth M. 'Lizzie' Thompson, in 1897 at Tucker, Georgia.

     Hubert Clyde Sharpe was born on 3 February 1907 in Carroll County, Georgia. He married Agnes Elizabeth Bagwell, daughter of William Wyley Bagwell and Martha Eliza 'Mattie' Barfield, after 1920. Hubert Clyde Sharpe died in August 1973 in Mableton, Cobb County, Georgia, at age 66.

     Henry Thomas Barron was born on 16 August 1903 in Cobb County, Georgia. He married Myrtice Lucille Bagwell, daughter of William Wyley Bagwell and Martha Eliza 'Mattie' Barfield, after 1920. Henry Thomas Barron died on 4 July 1975 in Marietta, Cobb County, Georgia, at age 71.

     Gerald Tripp was the son of Grady Ellis Tripp and Vivian Bagwell.¹ Gerald Tripp died between 2011 and 2013.¹

     Easton Tripp was the son of Grady Ellis Tripp and Vivian Bagwell.¹ Easton Tripp died between 2011 and 2013.¹

     Angela Gail Bagwell is the daughter of Larry Gene Bagwell and Charlotte Ann Creech. Angela Gail Bagwell married Barry Sidney Bunn on 29 December 1983 at Johnston County, North Carolina.

     Larry Gene "Trey" Bagwell III was born on 26 June 1991. He was the son of Larry Gene Bagwell Jr. and Mitzi Brown. Larry Gene "Trey" Bagwell III died on 9 January 2019 at age 27
Larry Gene “Trey” Bagwell, III, 27, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Funeral services wil be held on Monday at 3:00pm at Everett Chapel FWB Church with the committal following at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his daughter, Kiyler Grace Bagwell; mother, Mitzi Brown Baker; father, Larry Gene Bagwell, Jr; sister, Logan Bagwell; niece, RemiLee Bagwell; maternal grandmother, Cathy Joye Brown; paternal grandmother, Charlotte Bagwell; aunts and uncles, Marc and Alicia Brown, Amanda and Jason Parker, Angie and Barry Bunn; step father, Michael Baker; step brother, Kevin Baker; step sister, Alexis Baker; nephew, Maddox Dupree; cousins, McKenzie Wheeler and her husband Will, Luke parker, Rynn Parker, Spenser Brown, Hunter Brown, Trever Brown, Eric Bunn and wife Jessica, Matthew Bunn and wife Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Brown and his paternal grandfather, Larry Gene Bagwell; maternal great grandparents, Joseph Marvin and Edna Bazen Joye.

     Logan Blair Bagwell is the son of Larry Gene Bagwell Jr. and Mitzi Brown.

     Charlotte Ann Creech married Larry Gene Bagwell, son of Urias Bryant Bagwell and Mavis Spence, on 3 July 1964 at Johnston County, North Carolina.

     Mitzi Brown married Larry Gene Bagwell Jr., son of Larry Gene Bagwell and Charlotte Ann Creech, after 1980.

     Grover Owings married Jane Bagwell, daughter of Martin Monroe Bagwell and Carolyn Gaillard, after 1965.

     Steve Woodrow Trasher married Debbie Sue Bagwell, daughter of Martin Monroe Bagwell and Carolyn Gaillard, circa 1978.

     Dorothy Jones was born on 11 December 1928.¹ Her married name was Driggers.¹ She married Charles Bennie Driggers, son of Charles Driggers and Alma Crocker.¹ Dorothy Jones died on 3 May 1990 at age 61.¹ She was buried at Graceland West Cemetery and Mausikeum, Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina.

     Charles G. Driggers is the son of Charles Bennie Driggers and Dorothy Jones.¹ Charles G. Driggers married Cindi Henderson on 13 June 1975.

     Bennie L. Driggers was born on 18 June 1950.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Bennie Driggers and Dorothy Jones.¹ Bennie L. Driggers died on 7 August 1966 at age 16 as a result of a car accident.¹ She was buried at Graceland West Cemetery and Mausikeum, Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina.

     Brian Scott Driggers was born circa 1966 in Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina.^1,2 He was the son of Charles Bennie Driggers and Dorothy Jones.^1,2 Brian Scott Driggers died on 6 June 2019
He was a Mason of the Monaghan Lodge and he loved to fish. 
He is survived by a fiancée, Terri Hawkins, a granddaughter, Laicee Driggers; a sister, Penny Hester (Paul); a brother, Charles G. Driggers (Cindi); a aunt, Barbara Craigo; a uncle, Frank Adcox; two nieces, Robin Hester, and Angel D. Yates (Jamey); a great nephew, Drake Yates; and a great niece, Addison Yates, and many beloved cousins.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Steven B. Driggers, and a sister, Bennie Driggers.
A visitation will be held Friday, June 14, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, with the memorial service following at 3:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Society of Greenville, 113 Mills Ave, Greenville, SC 29605.
The family will be at their respective homes.²

     Penny Driggers is the daughter of Charles Bennie Driggers and Dorothy Jones.¹

     Artie Wayland Bagwell was born on 17 May 1935 in Arkansas.¹ He was the son of James Oaties Bagwell and Lona Mildred Latham.¹ Artie Wayland Bagwell married Virgie Mae Lyle on 5 June 1955. Artie Wayland Bagwell died on 28 December 2025 in Gainesville, Texas, at age 90


Artie Wayland Bagwell, 90, of Gainesville, Texas passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, December 28, 2025.

Wayland was born May 17,1935 in Antlers, Oklahoma to James Oaties and Lona Mildred (Latham) Bagwell. One of nine children that was born into the family. On June 5, 1955 Wayland married Virgie Mae Lyle and they had 60 years together prior to her passing in 2015. He worked for many years for the Planning Mill in Gainesville before its closing and then went to work for the City of Gainesville, working for Frank Buck Zoo for many years before retiring. Wayland grew up in a big loving family and as that family grew over the years, he watched with pride in each one of them, cherishing the time spent with his brothers and sisters, his children and grandchildren and all his nieces and nephews. He loved his family tremendously.

He is survived by his daughter, Peggy Germany and husband, Randy of Gainesville; grandson, Bradley Germany and wife, Shelbie; grandson, Artie Weir, grandson, Tony Weir, Jr. and granddaughter, Karamee Kiser and husband, Konah; seventeen, great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Wayland was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virgie Bagwell, parents, JO and Mildred Bagwell, daughter, Paula Walden, grandson, Cody Germany, as well as all his siblings.

Graveside services honoring Wayland will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Woodbine. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Meador Funeral Home, Gainesville, Texas.
