Clarksville, TN - A Celebration of Life service for James "Spinny" Bagwell, age 79 of Clarksville, TN will be Saturday, March 7, 2020, at 11:00 AM. Brother Craig Cross and George Adair will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and again on Saturday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM.

Spinny passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at St. Thomas West Hospital. He was born April, 22 1940, in Clarksville, TN to Gilmer Luther and Merab "Albright" Bagwell who preceded him in death.

Spinny was retired from Trane after 39 years and was a member of Walton's Chapel United Methodist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Pauline Scott Bagwell, children Jimmy (Jennifer) Bagwell and Carol (Jon) King, brothers Larry (Loretta) Bagwell and Randy (Toni) Bagwell, sister Janice Bagwell, and grandchildren; Dawson and Sarah Beth Bagwell, and Avery King.

Pallbearers will be nephews; Tony Barnes, Dan Weakley, J.J. Moulton. Eric Scott, Brad Bagwell, Steven Wilson, and Matt Bagwell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Farmer, Charles Richardson, Roger Demonbreum, Earle Durrard, and Jerry Mann.

     James Edward Bagwell is the son of James Luther “Spinny” Bagwell and Caroline Pauline Scott. James Edward Bagwell married Jennifer Leigh Powers on 27 September 1997 at Smith-Trahern Mansion, Clarksville, Montgomery County, Tennessee.

     Carol Bagwell is the daughter of James Luther “Spinny” Bagwell and Caroline Pauline Scott. Carol Bagwell married Jon King after 1985.

     Larry Thomas Bagwell is the son of Luther Gilmer Bagwell and Merab Mayze Albright. Larry Thomas Bagwell married Loretta Lewis on 7 September 1973 at Clarksville, Tennessee.

     Phillip Randell Bagwell is the son of Luther Gilmer Bagwell and Merab Mayze Albright. Phillip Randell Bagwell married Toni Joyce McCain on 16 April 1971 at Pembroke, Kentucky.

     Janice Sue Bagwell is the daughter of Luther Gilmer Bagwell and Merab Mayze Albright.

     Toni Joyce McCain married Phillip Randell Bagwell, son of Luther Gilmer Bagwell and Merab Mayze Albright, on 16 April 1971 at Pembroke, Kentucky.

     Loretta Lewis married Larry Thomas Bagwell, son of Luther Gilmer Bagwell and Merab Mayze Albright, on 7 September 1973 at Clarksville, Tennessee.

     Jennifer Leigh Powers married James Edward Bagwell, son of James Luther “Spinny” Bagwell and Caroline Pauline Scott, on 27 September 1997 at Smith-Trahern Mansion, Clarksville, Montgomery County, Tennessee.

Jimmie B Byrd was born on September 6, 1919 in Stewart Coounty, Tennessee, the son of Thomas H Byrd (1892-1977) and Flossie E (Smith) Byrd (1895-1973).

He was married to Thelma Bagwell.

A retired carpenter with the Civil Service at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, he was also a US Army veteran of World War II, a member of Wyatt's Chapel United Methodist Church where he was the former Sunday school superintendent, and a Mason.

Jimmie was 94 years old and a resident of Dyersburg, Tennessee when he passed away on August 11, 2014 in Jackson at Madison County General Hospital.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Joe Byrd, William Byrd, Smith Byrd, Kelly Byrd and Fred Byrd, and by his son-in-law Michael Willis. Survivors include his wife; a daughter; grandson; two brothers; and a sister.

Burial was in Fairview Cemetery at Indian Mound.

     William Cleveland Jones was born on 12 July 1884. He married Maybell Bagwell, daughter of William Thomas Bagwell and Margaret H. Mason, after 1900. William Cleveland Jones died on 6 May 1935 at age 50. He was buried at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina.

     Dally Randolph Bagwell was also known as Dallie Randolph. Dally Randolph Bagwell was also known as Daly Randolph. He was born on 22 September 1878 in South Carolina. He was the son of William Thomas Bagwell and Margaret H. Mason. Dally Randolph Bagwell married M. L. (?) before 1901. Dally Randolph Bagwell married Ovaline (?) in 1907. Dally Randolph Bagwell died on 25 August 1958 in Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina, at age 79 of Congestive Heart Failure due to arteriosclerosis. He was buried at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery, Pelham, South Carolina.

     Ovaline (?) married Dally Randolph Bagwell, son of William Thomas Bagwell and Margaret H. Mason, in 1907.

     M. L. (?) married Dally Randolph Bagwell, son of William Thomas Bagwell and Margaret H. Mason, before 1901.

     Maggie Estelle Bagwell was born on 11 July 1902. She was the daughter of Dally Randolph Bagwell and M. L. (?) Maggie Estelle Bagwell died on 8 September 1912 at age 10. She was buried at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery, Greer, Greenville County, South Carolina.

     Belvia Bagwell was born in 1923 in Greenville County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of James Lee Bagwell and Mary Ellen Norwood. As of after 1936,her married name was Stone. Belvia Bagwell married John C. Stone after 1936. Belvia Bagwell died on 13 February 2015 in Gastonia, Gaston County, North Carolina.
