     Cecil Lee Bagwell was born on 13 June 1928 in Liberty, Pickens County, South Carolina.¹ He was the son of Hovey Lee Bagwell and Irene F. Davenport.² Cecil Lee Bagwell married Dorothy Faye Stewart after 1945. Cecil Lee Bagwell died on 24 March 1994 in Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina, at age 65.¹ He was buried at Robinson Memorial Gardens, Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina.¹

     Dorothy Faye Stewart was born on 2 October 1927 in Shelby, Cleveland County, North Carolina.¹ She married Cecil Lee Bagwell, son of Hovey Lee Bagwell and Irene F. Davenport, after 1945. Dorothy Faye Stewart died on 1 August 2006 in Rogersville, Hawkins County, Tennessee, at age 78 [:CR:]Dorothy "Dot" Bagwell, 78, of 340 Old Highway 70 South, formerly of Greenville, widow of Cecil Lee Bagwell, died Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at her residence.

Born in Shelby, N.C., she was a daughter of the late George Frank and Mildred Cole Stewart.

Mr. and Mrs. Bagwell formerly owned and operated The Rib and Loin Restaurant in Greenville. She attended Calvary Assembly of God.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and Mike Bednar of Rogersville, Tenn., Randee and Jerry Stewart of Powdersville; two grandchildren, Adryan Ruth Stewart of Columbia and Jared Andrew Stewart of Powdersville; and a sister, Phemy Moore of Mauldin. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Stewart.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 3, 2006 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Graveside services will be held Friday, August 4, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Robinson Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at 121 Wilson Way, Piedmont.

Edwards on 27 September 1952 at San Bernardino, California.¹ J. M. Bagwell died on 31 October 1995 in Redlands, San Bernardino County, California, at age 69.² He was buried at Hillside Memorial Park, Redlands, San Bernardino County, California.²

     Margaret Bagwell is the daughter of Hovey Lee Bagwell and Irene F. Davenport.¹ Margaret Bagwell married (?) Grubbs after 1950.

     Francis Bagwell is the daughter of Hovey Lee Bagwell and Irene F. Davenport. Francis Bagwell married (?) Arrowood after 1946.

     Roy Lee Bagwell was born on 18 March 1939 in South Carolina. He was the son of Hovey Lee Bagwell and Irene F. Davenport.¹ Roy Lee Bagwell died on 21 November 2012 at age 73.

     Minnie Estelle Bagwell was born on 7 April 1908 in Cateeche, Pickens County, South Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of Noah Lewis Bagwell and Mary Elizabeth Hunter. Minnie Estelle Bagwell married George Franklin Case before 1932. Minnie Estelle Bagwell died on 5 January 1978 in Cateeche, Pickens County, South Carolina, at age 69.¹ She was buried at Norris Cemetery, Central, Pickens County, South Carolina.¹

     George Franklin Case was born on 30 October 1892. He married Minnie Estelle Bagwell, daughter of Noah Lewis Bagwell and Mary Elizabeth Hunter, before 1932. George Franklin Case died on 13 April 1951 at age 58.

     James L. Bagwell was born in June 1871 in Centerville, Anderson County, South Carolina. He was the son of Frederick B. Bagwell and Essie Elizabeth Powell. James L. Bagwell married Margaret Camelia Smith in 1888. James L. Bagwell died on 27 October 1927 in Pickens, Pickens County, South Carolina, at age 56.

     Margaret Camelia Smith was also known as Maggie Smith. She was born in May 1872 in South Carolina.¹ As of 1888,her married name was Bagwell. She married James L. Bagwell, son of Frederick B. Bagwell and Essie Elizabeth Powell, in 1888. Margaret Camelia Smith died in 1901.¹ She was buried at Ruhamah Baptist Church Cemetery, Liberty, Pickens County, South Carolina.¹

     Pearl Edith Bagwell was born on 17 June 1899 in South Carolina. She was the daughter of James L. Bagwell and Margaret Camelia Smith. Pearl Edith Bagwell married Charlie Perry Pace after 1910. Pearl Edith Bagwell died in July 1971 in Pickens County, South Carolina, at age 72.

     Charlie Perry Pace was born on 4 December 1896. He married Pearl Edith Bagwell, daughter of James L. Bagwell and Margaret Camelia Smith, after 1910.

     Lee Bagwell was born in January 1896 in South Carolina. He was the son of James L. Bagwell and Margaret Camelia Smith.

     Ernest James Bagwell was also known as James Earnest Bagwell. He was born in September 1893 in South Carolina.¹ He was the son of James L. Bagwell and Margaret Camelia Smith. Ernest James Bagwell married Lillie Holden after 1910. Ernest James Bagwell died in 1961.¹ He was buried at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Pickens, Pickens County, South Carolina.¹

     Ella Mae Burgess was born on 7 May 1933.¹ As of 24 December 1949,her married name was Bagwell.¹ She married Wallace William Bagwell, son of John William Bagwell and Sallie Mae Willard, on 24 December 1949 at Laurens County, South Carolina.¹ Ella Mae Burgess died on 11 April 2009 in Laurens County, South Carolina, at age 75 Ella Mae Bagwell, age 75, of Lydia Mill, SC, died Saturday, April 11th at her home.

Mrs. Bagwell was retired from Lydia Mill.

Surviving are her husband, Wallace W. Bagwell and three sisters, Shirley Proffitt, Linda Taylor and Sharon Hamilton.

She was predeceased by a sister, Harriett Crowell.

Graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, April 14th at 2:00 p.m. at the Rosemont Cemetery.¹ She was buried at Rosemont Cemetery, Clinton, Laurens County, South Carolina.¹

     Clarence Ross Bagwell was born on 15 April 1933 in South Carolina. He was the son of John William Bagwell and Sallie Mae Willard.¹ Clarence Ross Bagwell died on 27 March 2015 at age 81. He was buried at Rosemont Cemetery, Clinton, Laurens County, South Carolina.

     Sanford Eugene Bagwell is the son of John William Bagwell and Sallie Mae Willard.¹ Sanford Eugene Bagwell married Elizabeth Womble circa 1957.

Thomas Lee Bagwell, age 76, of 203 Spruce Street, and husband of Sallie Simmons Bagwell, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Chester and was a son of the late John William and Sally Mae Willard Bagwell.
Mr. Bagwell retired from the CSX Railroad and was an US Army veteran.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Mary M. Bagwell Satterfield; his nieces, Charlene Campbell, Angela Cook, Melody Fuller, Mary Beth Truelock and Dolores Payne; and several other nieces and nephews who were all special to Mr. Bagwell.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Wallace William Bagwell, Clarence Ross Bagwell, and Sanford Eugene Bagwell.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 16th, at 2 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton.
The family will receive friends before the service from 1 to 2 PM at the funeral home.
