Pamela Diane Bagwell Maxwell, our amazingly sweet, beautiful wife, mother and true friend went to Heaven. She passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023.
She is survived by her husband, Robin Maxwell, her children, Danielle (Donald) Perry and Derick Maxwell, her grandchildren Maxwell and Savannah Perry and her sisters, Glenda Bagwell Ryder, Betty Jo Bagwell (Darrell) Farmer, and Patty Bagwell Elliott. She is preceded in death by her parents Dorsey Bagwell and Margie Guthrie Bagwell and her nephew, Mitchell Farmer.
After 19 months of battling stage four pancreatic cancer, her body had enough. We were blessed to be able to spend so much time with her until the very end.
She loved her family, friends and made so many sacrifices for us that we only now can appreciate.
She was the toughest woman that any of us have ever met. They told her she had only 6 months to live after her diagnosis in March 2022, and she lived, truly lived and thrived for another 19 months. Her oncologist didn't know what to do with her because she defied all the odds.
We miss her so much but are so relieved she isn't suffering or hurting any more. We all have tough days ahead, but we have hope knowing she is smiling down on us, waiting for us to join her.
The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Gainesville, GA on Friday, December 15th from 1:15-2 pm followed by a graveside service. Rev. Phil Carpenter will officiate.
Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 is in charge of arrangements.
