Hazel Addie Bagwell married Samuel George Threadgill on 26 September 1925 at Grayson County, Texas. Hazel Addie Bagwell and Samuel George Threadgill were divorced on 29 December 1942 at Sebastian County, Arkansas. As of 18 February 1950,her married name was Teal. Hazel Addie Bagwell married Irvin Jay Teal on 18 February 1950 at Jefferson County, Texas. Hazel Addie Bagwell died on 13 November 1974 in Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, at age 66. She was buried on 15 November 1974 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas.

     Irvin Jay Teal married Hazel Addie Bagwell, daughter of John Abner Bagwell and Willie Mae Castleman, on 18 February 1950 at Jefferson County, Texas.

     Samuel George Threadgill was also known as George Samuel Threadgill. He was born on 25 February 1903 in Texas. He married Hazel Addie Bagwell, daughter of John Abner Bagwell and Willie Mae Castleman, on 26 September 1925 at Grayson County, Texas. Samuel George Threadgill and Hazel Addie Bagwell were divorced on 29 December 1942 at Sebastian County, Arkansas. Samuel George Threadgill died on 19 September 1976 at age 73.

     Faye Belle Bagwell was born on 8 July 1910 in Texas. She was the daughter of John Abner Bagwell and Willie Mae Castleman. As of 24 December 1932,her married name was Jackson. Faye Belle Bagwell married Orville Jackson on 24 December 1932 at Bryan County, Oklahoma. Faye Belle Bagwell died on 14 March 1968 at age 57. She was buried at Laurel Land Memorial Park, Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.

     Orville Jackson married Faye Belle Bagwell, daughter of John Abner Bagwell and Willie Mae Castleman, on 24 December 1932 at Bryan County, Oklahoma.

     J. A. Bozeman married Farrie Belle Bagwell, daughter of Nathaniel Robbins Bagwell and Sarah Elizabeth Rogers, on 13 October 1887 at Red River County, Texas.

     Peter Claywell Eidson was born in 1807 in Iredell County, North Carolina. He married Harriett Bagwell, daughter of Nathaniel Bagwell and Margaret McConnell, before 1850.

She married Fred Lynn Bagwell, son of Donald Virice Bagwell and Hattie Lillian Waters, before 1946. Elmyra Juliaette Davis died on 19 August 2012 at age 89


Juliaette Davis Bagwell, 89, of Taylors, widow of Fred Lynn Bagwell, Sr., died Sunday. August 19, 2012.

Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Grady Lee and Lucy Kilpatrick Davis.

Mrs. Bagwell retired from Delta Mills and was a member of Overbrook Baptist Church for over 50 years. She volunteered at Greenville Memorial Hospital with 9500 hours of service.

Surviving are a son, Fred L. Bagwell, Jr. and wife Terrie of Taylors; a daughter, Elizabeth Jo Bagwell Johnson of Greenville; four grandchildren, Fred L. "Koby" Bagwell III, Alena Lynn McGonnell and husband Jim; Alison Paige Johnson and Elizabeth Ashley Johnson; three great grandchildren, McKenna Bagwell, Ladd McGonnell, and Taylor McGonnell; a sister, Mary Jo Glymph of Greenville; and three nephews, Edwin Hall, Dr. John L. Glymph, and The Reverend Michael Joe Glymph. She was predeceased by a sister, Grace D. Hall.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Easley - Charles William Bagwell, 88, husband of Mina Louise Williams Bagwell, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023.

He was twice married, first to the late Rosa Bawkum Bagwell.

Born in Williamston, he was the son of the late Martin Bagwell and Marie Ellen McAlister Bagwell Spence. He is a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Kendall Company. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley and the Pelzer Masonic Lodge.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by step-children, Donna Marie Henderson of John’s Island, SC and Roger Daniel Henderson of West Bend, WI; sisters, Linda Bryant and Martha Wilson, both of Pelzer; and seven step-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 10, at Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sammy Bagwell Obituary
Mr. Sammy Bagwell of Cowarts passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Southeast Health. He was 67.

A Celebration of Life service for Sammy will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Cowarts Baptist Church with Dr. Ricky Plummer and Reverend Jonathan Sorensen officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1 to 3 P.M. Sunday, November 24, 2024.

Sammy was born October 4, 1957. Sammy worked for Roadway as a local driver for 25 years. After retirement, he then followed his desire to be self-employed and start up his own business, Bagwell Landscaping. Sammy was the “Michelangelo of dirt” as quoted by one of his customers. He loved to move dirt around and was known as a perfectionist.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Nettie Lou Bagwell, foster parents John Robert and Martha Steele, mother-in-law Betty Southerland and sister-in-law Libby Bagwell.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years Pattie Southerland Bagwell, son Jason Bagwell, brothers Wallace Bagwell, Jackie Bagwell (Jaqueline), Gerald Bagwell (Laura), Ryan Bagwell (Debra), sisters Nina Armstrong (Squeaky), Debra Fields (Lamar), foster brother Keith Steele (Paula), father-in-law Harold Southerland, brother-in-law Duane Southerland (Lovan), sister-in-law Cathy Reddoch (Larry), several nieces, nephews and the Breakfast Broadway Crew.

     Pattie Southerland married Samuel Talley Bagwell, son of Harold Louis Bagwell and Nettie Lou Lamb, after 1976.

     Jason Lee Bagwell is the son of Samuel Talley Bagwell and Pattie Southerland.
