     David Anderson Goff was born on 13 July 1909 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. He was the son of Charles Turner Goff and Ella Mason. He enlisted in the US Army on 22 June 1942 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, during World War II. David Anderson Goff married Frances Helen Roeder on 17 October 1942 at Fourth Presbyterian, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. David Anderson Goff died on 19 October 1991 in Palm Beach County, Florida, at age 82.

     Frances Helen Roeder was born on 6 July 1907. As of 17 October 1942,her married name was Goff. She married David Anderson Goff, son of Charles Turner Goff and Ella Mason, on 17 October 1942 at Fourth Presbyterian, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. Frances Helen Roeder died on 28 June 2005 at age 97.

     John Tennent Goff was born on 18 May 1911 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. He was the son of Charles Turner Goff and Ella Mason. John Tennent Goff married Joyce Lathrop Sawyer circa 1948. John Tennent Goff died on 27 October 1975 in Salem, Oregon, at age 64. He was buried at Finley-Sunset Hills Memorial Park, Portland, Washington County, Oregon.

     Joyce Lathrop Sawyer was born circa 1917 in Illinois. As of circa 1948,her married name was Goff. She married John Tennent Goff, son of Charles Turner Goff and Ella Mason, circa 1948. Joyce Lathrop Sawyer died in 2000. She was buried at Finley-Sunset Hills Memorial Park, Portland, Washington County, Oregon.

     John S. Goff is the son of John Tennent Goff and Joyce Lathrop Sawyer.

     Shelby Childress was born on 20 November 1939 in Pickens, South Carolina. As of before 1958,her married name was Bagwell. She married Elijah Walker Bagwell Jr., son of Elijah Walker Bagwell and Leitha Mae Martin, before 1958. Shelby Childress and Elijah Walker Bagwell Jr. were divorced on 13 June 1986 at Brevard County, Florida. Shelby Childress died on 21 November 2023 in Cocoa, Brevard County, Florida, at age 84. She was buried at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Pickens, Pickens County, South Carolina.

     Mary Goff was born on 6 January 1781. She was the daughter of Thomas Jonas Goff and Margaret Parsons. As of after 1800,her married name was Sudduth. Mary Goff married James Sudduth after 1800. Mary Goff died on 23 December 1854 at age 73. She was buried at James Sudduth Graveyard, Clark County, Kentucky.

     James Sudduth was born on 24 May 1773 in Virginia. He married Mary Goff, daughter of Thomas Jonas Goff and Margaret Parsons, after 1800. James Sudduth died on 11 December 1825 in Winchester, Clark County, Kentucky, at age 52. He was buried at James Sudduth Graveyard, Winchester, Clark County, Kentucky.

     Jonas Goff was born in 1781 in Virginia. He was the son of Thomas Jonas Goff and Margaret Gray. Jonas Goff died on 4 September 1831 in Clark County, Kentucky. He was buried at Goff Cemetery, Winchester, Clark County, Kentucky.

     Drusilla Goff was born on 10 November 1784 in Hampshire County, West Virginia. She was the daughter of Thomas Jonas Goff and Margaret Parsons. As of 1810,her married name was Stockwell. Drusilla Goff married Michael Stockwell in 1810. Drusilla Goff died on 11 October 1855 in Decatur County, Indiana, at age 70. She was buried at Mount Moriah Cemetery, Adams Township, Decatur County, Indiana.

     Michael Stockwell was born on 25 March 1779 in Somset County, Pennsylvannia. He married Drusilla Goff, daughter of Thomas Jonas Goff and Margaret Parsons, in 1810. Michael Stockwell died on 26 February 1856 in Adams Township, Decatur County, Indiana, at age 76. He was buried at Mount Moriah Cemetery, Adams Township, Decatur County, Indiana.

     Hannah Goff was born in 1785 in Virginia. She was the daughter of Thomas Jonas Goff and Margaret Parsons. As of 1804,her married name was Denny. Hannah Goff married David Denny in 1804. Hannah Goff died on 19 August 1846 in Washington County, Indiana. She was buried at Samuel Denny Cemetery, Salem, Washington County, Indiana.

     David Denny was born on 24 June 1783 in Frederick County, Virginia. He married Hannah Goff, daughter of Thomas Jonas Goff and Margaret Parsons, in 1804. David Denny died on 10 August 1837 in Washington County, Indiana, at age 54.

     Levi Goff was born in 1787 in Virginia. He was the son of Thomas Jonas Goff and Margaret Parsons. Levi Goff died on 14 May 1827 in Clark County, Kentucky. He was buried at Goff Cemetery, Winchester, Clark County, Kentucky.

     Samuel Denny was born on 14 August 1786 in Frederick County, Virginia. He married Dorothy Goff, daughter of Thomas Jonas Goff and Margaret Parsons, in 1810. Samuel Denny died on 27 September 1844 in Washington County, Indiana, at age 58. He was buried at Denny Cemetery, Washington Township, Washington County, Indiana.

     Elizabeth Goff was born in September 1792. She was the daughter of Thomas Jonas Goff and Margaret Parsons. As of after 1808,her married name was Miles. Elizabeth Goff married Benjamin Miles after 1808. Elizabeth Goff died on 24 August 1840 at age 47. She was buried at James Sudduth Graveyard, Clark County, Kentucky.

     Benjamin Miles was born in 1780 in Virginia. He married Elizabeth Goff, daughter of Thomas Jonas Goff and Margaret Parsons, after 1808. Benjamin Miles died on 5 January 1844. He was buried at James Sudduth Graveyard, Clark County, Kentucky.

Elisha Goff, son of Thomas Jonas and Margaret (Parsons) Goff. He was born in Clark Co., Kentucky, September 10 1795, and died in Clark Co., Kentucky, March 22, 1831.

Elisha married in Clark Co., Kentucky, December 25, 1817 to Nancy Hedges. She was born in Kentucky, November 15, 1799 and died June 10, 1870. Nancy Hedges was the daughter of John and Catherine (Troutman) Hedges. (John Hedges was a native of Maryland, moved to Kentucky in 1792, and settled in Bourbon Co., Kentucky.)

Elisha Goff served in the War of 1812 from Clark Co., Kentucky, as a private of 2 Regiment (Jennings') Kentucky Volunteers. He was a captain in the militia and drilled several companies for the defense of the Commonwealth. [2nd Regiment, Kentucky Militia - Organized September 1, 1812. Lt. Elisha was employed to assist in carving out the road from Richmond, Kentucky, to Mount Sterling, Kentucky, which in all probability was the first public highway in Clark County, and one of the first in the state of Kentucky.

Elisha was one of the first men to discover the value of the iron ores of Red River, and was instrumental in establishing the first iron furnace in that region. A friend in Virginia had sent Elisha some timothy seed. These were sown on a plat near Indian Fields, Kentucky, and became the first timothy meadow in Kentucky, the soil of that area being well adpted to that type of grass.

Elisha and Nancy are enumerated in the 1820 and 1830 censuses of Clark Co., Kentucky. Nancy is enumerated in the 1840 through 1860 censuses of Clark Co., Kentucky. Both are buried in the Goff Cemetery near Indian Fields, Kentucky.

Sarah Ann Goff married John Swetnam in 1818. Sarah Ann Goff died in 1835 in Burton, Howard County, Missouri. She was buried at Swetnam Cemetery, Burton, Howard County, Missouri.

     John Swetnam was born on 23 November 1798 in Scott County, Kentucky. He married Sarah Ann Goff, daughter of Thomas Jonas Goff and Margaret Parsons, in 1818.      Otho Barnes was born in 1795 in Virginia. He married Margaret Goff, daughter of Thomas Jonas Goff and Margaret Parsons, in 1825. Otho Barnes died in 1874 in Boone County, Missouri.

     Elizabeth Verlilia Bagwell was born on 11 May 1948 in Bruce, Calhoun County, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Samuel Percy Bagwell and Hilda Maxine Williams. As of 29 April 1967,her married name was Upshaw. Elizabeth Verlilia Bagwell married Eddie Upshaw on 29 April 1967 at Livingston, Alabama. As of after 1998,her married name was Vollstedt. Elizabeth Verlilia Bagwell married Ned Arnold Vollstedt after 1998. Elizabeth Verlilia Bagwell died on 6 March 2023 at age 74


She was born in Bruce, MS on May 11, 1948, and raised in Yazoo City, MS. She loved her friends and family. Beth was especially proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was lovingly known as Granna.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ned Vollstedt; son, Shaw Upshaw (Kellye); her parents, Maxine and Percy Bagwell; and her brother, Sam Bagwell.

She is survived by her son, Shane Upshaw (Susan); daughter, Kim Upshaw; three stepdaughters, Mandy Falk(Torrey), Tawnia Bush(Bryce), and Krystal Vollstedt(Mike Grosdidier); brother, Mike Bagwell (Midge); eleven grandchildren, Preston Upshaw, Easton Upshaw, Ellye Ryan Upshaw, Sidney Shaw Upshaw, John Owen Upshaw, Grace Upshaw, Phillip Upshaw, Chandler Upshaw, Curran Upshaw, Jack Upshaw, and Georgia Upshaw; three great grandchildren, Elle Grider, Swazey Grider, and Luna Upshaw; and five nephews, Michael Bagwell, Dustin Bagwell, Christopher Bagwell, Brett Bagwell, and Blake Bagwell.

A family graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Quiet Ridge Cemetery in Pickens, MS.
