     L. E. “Gene” Cochran was born on 26 April 1929. He married Colleen Bagwell, daughter of Edgar Wallace Bagwell and Reba Lee Goss, after 1950. L. E. “Gene” Cochran died on 1 December 2004 at age 75. He was buried at Macedonia Cemetery, Macedonia, Cherokee County, Georgia.

     Colleen Bagwell was born on 18 May 1929. She was the daughter of Edgar Wallace Bagwell and Reba Lee Goss. Colleen Bagwell married L. E. “Gene” Cochran after 1950. As of after 1950,her married name was Cochran. Colleen Bagwell died on 23 February 2017 at age 87. She was buried at Macedonia Cemetery, Macedonia, Cherokee County, Georgia.

     Henry St. Lawrence Chandler married Frances Dell Bagwell, daughter of George McDonald Bagwell and Ella A. L. Crane, in 1892 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

     Ella A. L. Crane was born on 30 April 1851 in Portsmouth, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. As of before 1869,her married name was Bagwell. She married George McDonald Bagwell, son of John Bull Bagwell and Mary Ann Rooke, before 1869. Ella A. L. Crane died on 25 February 1890 in Ontario, Canada, at age 38

Mrs. Hazel Huffman Bagwell, 70, of Kilmichael passed away December 6, at Kilmichael Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Attala County and was married to the late Lloyd Bagwell. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Ruth Biggers of Kilmichael; one brother, Wilbert R. Huffman of Brookhaven; also 3 nieces and 3 nephews.

Rev. Phillip Bray assisted by Mr. Dan Beardain held services at Kilmichael Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 8. Burial was in Kilmichael Cemetery with Oliver Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers were Fred Huffman, Tommy Biggers, Bill Barham, Frank Surles, Bill Hodges and Marvel Morgan.

     Harold A. Bagwell was born on 20 August 1903 in Greenville, South Carolina. He was the son of Willis Marion Bagwell and Minnie Jones. Harold A. Bagwell married Ethel Mae Hovis on 1 October 1922 at Gaston County, North Carolina. Harold A. Bagwell married Addie Mae Snipes after 1932. Harold A. Bagwell died on 23 April 1976 in Lancaster, South Carolina, at age 72. He was buried on 25 April 1976 at Lancaster Memorial Park, Lancaster, Lancaster County, South Carolina.

     Addie Mae Snipes was born in 1913. As of after 1932,her married name was Bagwell. She married Harold A. Bagwell, son of Willis Marion Bagwell and Minnie Jones, after 1932. Addie Mae Snipes died in 1978. She was buried at Lancaster Memorial Park, Lancaster, Lancaster County, South Carolina.

     Vernice Sharp was also known as Vernice Smith. She was born on 16 July 1931. As of after 1950,her married name was Bagwell. She married Carl Nealon Bagwell, son of William Leroy Bagwell and Ina Pearl Ashcroft, after 1950. Vernice Sharp died on 3 September 2009 at age 78. She was buried at Lake Park Hills Cemetery, Laurel, Jones County, Mississippi.

     Oaties Waymon Bagwell was born on 31 January 1944 in Sherman, Gayson County, Texas.¹ He was the son of James Oaties Bagwell and Lona Mildred Latham. Oaties Waymon Bagwell married Cheryl Berry before 1963. Oaties Waymon Bagwell married Carolyn Sue Crisp after 1965. Oaties Waymon Bagwell died on 4 February 2021 at age 77


Oaties Waymon Bagwell, 77, of Gainesville, Texas passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 4, 2021 surrounded by family.

Waymon was born on January 31, 1944 in Sherman, Texas, one of nine children born to James Oaties and Lona Mildred (Latham) Bagwell. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam war. Waymon worked and retired from the oilfields of North Texas. He was a member of the VFW post 1922 in Gainesville since 1980. He enjoyed watching old westerns, messing with his cows, working on the farm, short visits with friends and family and sitting outside with a cold drink and his dog Sassy. Waymon was a man who enjoyed living the simple life on his farm. He had a big loving family, one who enjoyed being around him and learning from him.

He is survived by his son, Orland Bagwell and wife, Laura of Sadler; daughter, Starla Tipps and partner, Dale Meadows of Ponca City, OK; daughter, Kim McClinton and husband, Johnny of Gainesville; grandchildren; Kima Dawn Lee and husband, Dewayne of Ardmore, Ok; Joshua Milan and fiancée Jaylene Stolting of Callisburg; Amanda Bagwell of Irving; Jeremy Milan of Callisburg; Brittany Bagwell of Frisco; Jeffery McClinton and wife, Karley of Callisburg; great-granddaughter, Jocelyne Mayzie Milan and another great-grandchild due this year, brother Wendell Bagwell and wife, Evelyn; brother, Wayland Bagwell; brother-in-law, Johnny Crisp and wife, Faye; brother-in-law, Billy Joe Crisp; sister-in-law, Barbara Bratcher and husband, Ray; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service honoring Waymon will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Larry Eberhart. No formal visitation is scheduled.¹
