Rufus James Bagwell died on 21 June 1975 in Pickens, Pickens Couny, South Carolina, at age 40. He was buried at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, Beaufort County, South Carolina.

FORT MEYERS, Fla. — Andrew James Bagwell. September 3, 1964-January 1, 2022, Fort Myers, Florida.

Andrew was born at the naval hospital in Oahu, Hawaii and moved to Pickens when he was nine years old. He attended Pickens Elementary, Pickens Junior High and Pickens Senior High School.

Andrew worked at both the Gayley and Milikan plants, but his true passion was being on the water and he found great enjoyment working shrimp boats off the coast of Florida. His other passions included reading, shooting pool and listening to .38 Special.

Andrew is preceded in death by his father, Rufus James Bagwell and his mother, Kathleen Perry Bagwell. Surviving are his brothers, Anthony Bagwell; Avery (Nancy) Bagwell; Alan (Ivonne) Bagwell and his sisters, Amanda Bagwell and Annette (Drew) Weber, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

     Amanda E. Bagwell is the daughter of Rufus James Bagwell and Kathleen Anne Perry.

     Annette Isabelle Bagwell is the daughter of Rufus James Bagwell and Kathleen Anne Perry. Annette Isabelle Bagwell married Drew Weber on 25 April 1998 at Weber County, Texas.

Mrs. Minnie Marie (Handshy) Bagwell of Tupelo, Arkansas departed this life on Friday, January 5, 2024, at the age of 87. She was born December 26, 1936, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of John and Minnie Handshy.

Mrs. Bagwell began working for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft and then became a Data Processor for Harris Hospital. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Tupelo. Mrs. Bagwell loved art and enjoyed creating pottery and painting.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Elmer Bagwell, Jr; five brothers, John, Orville, Arthur, Donald, and Emery; five sisters, Catherine, Margaret, Ruth, Violet, and Dorothy; and her parents.

Mrs. Bagwell is survived by her two sons, Jay Preston Bagwell and fiancé, Susie Combs, and Richard Lee Bagwell and wife, Krissten, all of Tupelo; four grandchildren, Amanda Dawn Spinks and husband, Levi, Amber Lynn Bagwell, Jordan Lee Bagwell, and Peyton Marie Bagwell; and two great grandchildren, Lily and T.J. Spinks.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Sandhill Cemetery, with Bro. Bobby Bowen officiating.

Ronald W. Bagwell, 61, died Thursday, May 26, at CMC, Pineville, NC. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, May 31, at Friendship UMC in Rock Hill with Pastor Nellie Cloninger officiating. The family will gather immediately following the service at the home of Donna Broome, 404 Link St., Fort Mill, SC. Interment will be private.

Mr. Bagwell was born September 13, 1954 in Rock Hill and was a son of the late James and Eva Freeman Bagwell. He attended the schools of Fort Mill and was retired from Springs Industries. Mr. Bagwell was totally devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by two daughters, April Sowle (Brian) of Catawba and Kimberly Cameron of York; one son, Shawn Bagwell of York; one stepson, Gary Lee Boatwright (Jessica) of Rock Hill; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Broome of Fort Mill and Nancy Mace (John) of Mint Hill, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Bagwell was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Henderson Bagwell Barron Funeral Home Chester, S.C.

     Shawn Bagwell is the son of Ronald Woodrow Bagwell and Cathy Henderson.

April was born in Rock Hill, SC on April 11, 1976, she was the beloved daughter of the late Ronald Woodrow Bagwell and the late Katie Jane Bagwell.

April is survived by her loving husband, Brian Sowle, and their cherished daughters, Kassidy Sowle, Samantha Sowle, and Lacy Sowle. She also leaves behind her brothers, Mac Boatwright and Shawn Bagwell, as well as her sister, Kimberly Bagwell.

April found great joy in gardening. She dedicated her life to her family as a devoted stay-at-home mom. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

     Kimberly Bagwell is the daughter of Ronald Woodrow Bagwell and Cathy Henderson. Kimberly Bagwell married (?) Cameron after 1990.
