Ronald "Ronnie" Campbell Bagwell, age 77, of Lebanon, KY passed away at 5:02 a.m., Thursday, August 7, 2025 at his home.

A native of Marion County, he was born on March 17, 1948 to the late Milton Jarboe and Anna Lorene Benedict Bagwell.

He was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church, a 1966 graduate of Lebanon High School and a 1970 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. He was a retired carpentry teacher with the Marion County Vocational School. Ronnie sold and built log homes as well as a local distributor for Hardy Stoves.

Preceding him in death were two brothers, Milton Bagwell, Jr. on December 7, 2013 and Thomas Warren Bagwell on September 2, 2018; an infant brother, Joseph Benedict Bagwell on June 10, 1943 and a nephew, Todd Allen Bagwell on January 19, 2006.

Survivors include his wife, Glenna Arvin Bagwell; his twin brother, Donnie (Connie) Bagwell of Lebanon; his sister, Pat (Bob Sr) Mattingly of Louisville; two sisters –in-law, Gail Bagwell of LaGrange and Carmen (Erwin) Booth of Taylorsville; four nieces, Janet Bagwell, Anna (Todd) Sawyer, Patti (Ricky) Smith and Meredith (Craig) Thompson and five nephews, Donnie (Allyson) Bagwell, Jr., Stephen (Jessica) Bagwell, Eddie (Sue) Bagwell, Mike (Jessie) Bagwell and Bobby (Marylea) Mattingly, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 9th at the Lebanon Baptist Church with Dr. David Whitlock, a former pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in the Mt. Washington Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Bagwell, Donnie Bagwell, Jr., Stephen Bagwell, Nathan Bagwell, Jeremy Bagwell, Mike Bagwell and Bobby Jr. Mattingly.

     Joyce Kellebrew was born on 18 January 1940 in Arkansas. As of 31 May 1962,her married name was Bagwell. She married Thomas Warren Bagwell, son of Milton Jarboe Bagwell and Anna Lorene Benedict, on 31 May 1962 at Monterey, California. Joyce Kellebrew died on 23 September 2023 in Queen of the Valley Hospital, Napa, California, at age 83


Joyce Kellebrew Bagwell passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa, California at the age of 83. She was the youngest of 10 Brothers and Sisters, born to Clifton Reed and Maude Griffith Kellebrew in Arkansas on January 18, 1940.
She is survived by two of her three sons, Christopher Bagwell of Napa, CA, and Michael Bagwell of Colorado Springs, CO. Her Daughter-in-law Jessie Bagwell also of Colorado Springs. Seven Grandchildren, Elizabeth (Liz), Sarah, Christine, Brittany, Thomas, Katherine (Kitty), and Emily, and six Great-Grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her husband of 56 years Thomas (T.W) Bagwell (2018), her son Todd Bagwell (2006), and all of her brothers and sisters (Sue, Ben, Fagan, Ray, Modelle, Buddy, Boots), the last of the Kellebrews who were born in Arkansas and moved to California in the 1950s.
After her marriage to Tom, she moved with her family to Lebanon, KY in 1966 where she lived until his death in 2018. She raised a family, taught 7th grade at St. Augustine Catholic School for Girls, was a substitute teacher in the Marion County School System, and ran small businesses as a Manager and later as an Owner.
She was very active at Lebanon Baptist Church, where she participated with the Youth group, Vacation Bible School, made meals, visited homebound friends, and taught Sunday School.
She loved to wear hats (BIG hats) every day. Joyce livened up any place she went, she loved to meet new friends, old friends, and she loved to talk and laugh loudly. She loved talking to her brothers and sisters on the phone often, also very loudly with lots of laughter.
She understood what it was like to have hard times, she would always help people in need with a little money, food, or a place to stay.
The last 3 years of her life were sadly marked by dementia, but even through those times she was always happy with a big smile, every day was a great day, and every “new” fact was met with joy. Finally, on September 23, 2023, she succumbed to heart failure. She will be missed.


She was buried at Lebanon National Cemetery, Lebanon, Kentucky.

     Todd Allen Bagwell was born on 23 November 1962 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia.¹ He was the son of Thomas Warren Bagwell and Joyce Kellebrew.¹ Todd Allen Bagwell married Miriam Ferguson after 1980.¹ Todd Allen Bagwell died on 19 January 2006 in Lebanon, Marion County, Kentucky, at age 43.¹ He was buried at Ryder Cemetery, Lebanon, Marion County, Kentucky.¹

     Miriam Ferguson married Todd Allen Bagwell, son of Thomas Warren Bagwell and Joyce Kellebrew, after 1980.¹

     Thomas Clifton Bagwell is the son of Todd Allen Bagwell and Miriam Ferguson.¹

     Brittiany Nicole Bagwell is the daughter of Todd Allen Bagwell and Miriam Ferguson.¹

     Sarah Marie Bagwell is the daughter of Todd Allen Bagwell and Miriam Ferguson.¹

     Elizabeth Ann Bagwell is the daughter of Todd Allen Bagwell and Miriam Ferguson.¹

     Michael Bagwell is the son of Thomas Warren Bagwell and Joyce Kellebrew.¹

     Christopher Levert Bagwell is the son of Thomas Warren Bagwell and Joyce Kellebrew.¹

     Susie Bagwell was born in 1881 in Marion County, Kentucky.¹ She was the daughter of Henderson O'Neal Bagwell and Sarah Chrisantha "Cassie" James.¹ As of after 1896,her married name was Raley.² Susie Bagwell married S. A stroke which she suffered on Christmas Day brought death to Mrs. Susan Bagwell Raley, 70, widow of the S. Walter Raley, last Friday morning about 6'clock at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Marion Tandy.
Although in failing health for some time, Mrs. Raley was
as well a usual until she was stricken, and her passing came as a shock to her relatives and friends. She had been making her home with her daughter since the death of her husband approx. eight years ago. He lost his life while trying vainly to rescue a grandchild from drowning during a family picnic at the Rolling Fork River.
A daughter of the late Henderson and Cassie James Bagwell, Mrs. Raley was born in this county and had spent virtually all of her life in or near Lebanon. Surviving her, besides Mrs. Tandy, are two other daughters - Mrs. Willie Barrick and Mrs. Garland Hays. A sister, Mrs. John Shewmaker of Perryville; two brothers, William and Tom Bagwell of Louisville, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist Church here Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by the pastor, Dr. F. G. Schlafer, and interment followed in Ryder Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clarence, Robert H., and Robert T> Harmon, Jennings Crowdus, J. W. Clark and Hubert Hourigan

S. Walter Raley was the son of Jack and Mary Jane (McCubbin) Raley and he was the husband of Susie (Bagwell) Raley and is buried in Section A.

Walter drowned in the Rolling Fork River trying to save his granddaughter, Doris Jean Hays.¹
He was buried at Ryder Cemetery, Lebanon, Marion County, Kentucky.¹

     Paul E. Norred was born on 5 November 1912. He married Faye Lera Bagwell, daughter of John Bagwell and Lizzie Hicks, after 1930. Paul E. Norred died on 18 December 1970 at age 58. He was buried at Ebenezer Cemetery, West Point, Cullman County, Alabama.

     Charles William Bagwell was also known as William Charles Bagwell. He was born on 30 September 1932. He was a Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy.¹ He married Yoko (?) after 1950.¹ Charles William Bagwell died on 15 October 2023 at age 91. He was buried at Miramar National Cemetery, San Diego, San Diego County, California.

     Yoko (?) was born on 10 February 1935.¹ As of after 1950,her married name was Bagwell.¹ She married Charles William Bagwell after 1950.¹ Yoko (?) died on 9 October 2017 at age 82.¹ She was buried at Miramar National Cemetery, San Diego, San Diego County, California.¹

     Charles William Bagwell is the son of Charles William Bagwell and Yoko (?) Charles William Bagwell married Jennifer Larae (?) on 13 September 1991 at Wright County, Minnesota.

     Zachariah W. Harlin married Jennifer Larae (?) after 1982.

     Jennylynn Bagwell married Mike E. Bagwell, son of Charles William Bagwell and Yoko (?), after 1978.

     LaVance Bagwell was born on 19 March 1933.¹ She was the daughter of Wiley Van Bagwell and Mary Ethel Gray.¹ As of after 1950,her married name was Cyr.¹ LaVance Bagwell married Romeo Joseph Cyr after 1950.¹ LaVance Bagwell and Romeo Joseph Cyr were divorced on 10 May 1977 at Okaloosa County, Florida. LaVance Bagwell died on 22 February 2024 in Fort Walton Beach, Oakloosa County, Florida, at age 90. She was buried at Glenfield Memorial Park, New Albany, Union County, Mississippi.¹

     Romeo Joseph Cyr was born on 23 October 1930 in Augusta, Kennebec County, Maine.¹ He married LaVance Bagwell, daughter of Wiley Van Bagwell and Mary Ethel Gray, after 1950.¹ Romeo Joseph Cyr and LaVance Bagwell were divorced on 10 May 1977 at Okaloosa County, Florida. Romeo Joseph Cyr died on 24 July 2016 in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida, at age 85.¹ He was buried at Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida.

     Elver Green Roberts was born in 1908.¹ He married Mary Lou Bagwell, daughter of Wiley Van Bagwell and Mary Ethel Gray, after 1932.¹ Elver Green Roberts died in 2004.¹

     Robert Lee Bagwell was born on 28 August 1930. He was the son of Frederick Clary Bagwell and Ethel Wells. Robert Lee Bagwell married Shirley Ann Mills circa 1955. Robert Lee Bagwell died on 4 January 2016 at age 85. He was buried at Westview Memorial Park, Laurens, Laurens County, South Carolina.

     Shirley Ann Mills was born on 16 April 1936 in South Carolina. As of circa 1955,her married name was Bagwell. She married Robert Lee Bagwell, son of Frederick Clary Bagwell and Ethel Wells, circa 1955. Shirley Ann Mills died on 20 January 1995 in Laurens, Laurens County, South Carolina, at age 58. She was buried at Westview Memorial Park, Laurens, Laurens County, South Carolina.

     William Anthony Brown was born on 27 April 1948.¹ He married Connie Dianne Bagwell, daughter of James Carroll Bagwell and Nancy Lorene Smith, after 1965.¹ William Anthony Brown died on 15 August 2007 at age 59
William A. Brown, 59, of 1316 Sandy Springs Road, husband of Dianne Bagwell Brown, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at Laurens County Hospital.

Born in Whitmire, he was a son of Paul A. Brown of Johnson City, Tenn. and the late Martha Ann Crisp Brown. Mr. Brown was a U.S. Navy veteran, employee of Torrington for 35 years, and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving in addition to his wife and father are two sons, Paul A. Brown of Union and Adrian Daniel Brown of the home; one brother, Kenneth Brown of Columbia; one sister, Teresa Brown of Winter Haven, Fla; and four grandchildren, Elizabeth Greene and Nancy, Halley, and Joshua Brown.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel conducted by the Rev. Ossie Deese with burial following in Sandy Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.¹

     William Kenneth Bagwell was born on 22 September 1939 in Laurens County, South Carolina. He was the son of Frederick Clary Bagwell and Ethel Wells. William Kenneth Bagwell married Dorothy Dunnaway circa 1957. William Kenneth Bagwell died on 21 April 2024 in Newburry, South Carolina, at age 84


William Kenneth “Ken” Bagwell, 84, of Newberry died Sunday April 21, 2024.

Born on September 22, 1939 in Laurens County, he was a son of the late Fred Clary and Ethel Wells Bagwell.

Ken worked for many years as a loom fixer in the textile mills, but his passion was always Southern Gospel music. He was a talented steel guitar player among many other instruments and loved to sing, especially when he could enjoy some good ‘family harmony’ singing with his wife, Dot, and their daughters, Karen and Angela. Ken was funny and had a humble spirit and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy “Dot” Dunnaway Bagwell; daughters, Karen Crapps (Harley) and Angela Goings (Danny), Son Freddie Bagwell (Arista). Sister, Lib Bagwell. Grandchildren; LeAnne Atkinson, Josh Goings. Great Grandchildren: Nathan McConnel, Nicholas McConnell, Jaxson Taner, Madison Brooks.

Ken was predeceased by a daughter Tammy Bagwell; grandson Jason Brooks; and brothers Marion Bagwell, Carroll Bagwell, and RL Bagwell.

Services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry by Pastor Bobby Lowman. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery.



The family will receive friends one hour prior starting at 3:00 PM on Thursday.



Pallbearers will be Josh Goings, Ben Johnson, Lee Dunnaway, Terry Longshore, Mark Wilkes, and Jordan Clayton.
