Ellen Genetta McHenry died on 21 July 2009 in Cookeville, Putnam County, Tennessee, at age 86. She was buried at Souble Springs Cemeter, Double Springs, Putnam County, Tennessee.

     Luther Anderson Overby was born on 9 February 1881 in Yadkin County, North Carolina.¹ He married Lucille Blanche "Lucy" Bagwell, daughter of William Henry Bagwell and Nancy Ann Bush, on 20 November 1906 at Jackson County, Indiana.¹ Luther Anderson Overby died on 9 August 1942 in Dekark, Illinois, at age 61 Worked as a blacksmith possibly for the Rail Road. The family name was originally spelled Overbey but the "E" was dropped from the name sometime after 1900.

Luther died several days after an auto accident. The injuries were considered minimal at first but he suddenly took a turn for the worse and died 5 days after the accident.¹

     Donald William Bagwell was also known as William Donald Bagwell. He was born on 6 March 1924 in Indiana.¹ He was the son of George Franklin Bagwell and Almeda Jane McCallister. He served as a Private in the US Army during World War II. He enlisted in Feb 9, 1943 in Indianapolis as a Warrant Offiicer.¹ Donald William Bagwell married Lorine C. Schwaiger on 17 September 1955 at Grant County, Indiana. Donald William Bagwell died on 27 June 1979 in Marion General Hospital, Marion, Grant County, Indiana, at age 55.¹ He was buried at Estates of Serenity, Marion, Grant County, Indiana.¹

     Lillian Maxine Bagwell was born on 5 January 1921 in Marion, Grant County, Indiana.¹ She was the daughter of George Franklin Bagwell and Almeda Jane McCallister. As of 6 June 1941,her married name was Cook. Lillian Maxine Bagwell married Ora Marvel Cook on 6 June 1941 at Grant County, Indiana. Lillian Maxine Bagwell died on 5 May 2001 in Cedarburg, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, at age 80


Lillian Maxine Cook, 80, of Cedarburg, Wis., and formerly of Spring Lake, died Saturday, May 5, 2001, in Cedarburg. Lillian was born to George and Almeda (McCalister) Bagwell in January of 1921. She and Ora M. Cook were married on June 6, 1941, in Grant Co., Indiana.

She was not only a proud parent but a proud grandparent and great-grandparent of many children. She was a great mom, farmer, seamstress, carpenter, and a woman who would try almost anything. She will be missed by all but seen in everyone she touched. She has achieved the greatest gift of her final reward.

She survived by her beloved husband of almost 60 years, Ora M. "Bud" Cook Also surviving are her children, David (Linda) Cook, Michael (Barbette) Cook, and Susanna (David) Lindsey.¹


She was buried at Lakeshore Cemtery, Grand Haven, Ottawa County, Michigan.¹

     Lucinda Davis Crocker was born circa 1839 in South Carolina. She married James W. Bagwell, son of John Littleton Bagwell and Rebecca "Sally" McAbee, before 1856. Lucinda Davis Crocker died on 7 May 1865 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.

     Calvin W. Bagwell was born on 5 September 1856 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. He was the son of James W. Bagwell and Lucinda Davis Crocker. Calvin W. Bagwell married Mary Adeline Steading before 1879. Calvin W. Bagwell died on 4 September 1899 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, at age 42. He was buried at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Moore, Spartanburg County, South Carolina.

     Mary Adeline Steading was born on 11 August 1859 in Pickens County, South Carolina.¹ She married Calvin W. Bagwell, son of James W. Bagwell and Lucinda Davis Crocker, before 1879. Mary Adeline Steading died on 12 June 1916 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, at age 56.¹ She was buried at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Moore, Spartanburg County, South Carolina.¹

     James William Augustus Bagwell was born on 10 July 1879 in South Carolina. He was the son of Calvin W. Bagwell and Mary Adeline Steading. James William Augustus Bagwell married Clevia L. Riddle circa 1903. James William Augustus Bagwell died in October 1962 in Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina, at age 83. He was buried at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina.

     Clevia L. Riddle was born in November 1886 in South Carolina. She married James William Augustus Bagwell, son of Calvin W. Bagwell and Mary Adeline Steading, circa 1903. Clevia L. Riddle died on 19 December 1970 in South Carolina at age 84. She was buried at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina.

     Horace Lewis Bagwell was also known as Horace Luther Bagwell. He was born on 29 October 1903 in Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina.¹ He was the son of James William Augustus Bagwell and Clevia L. Riddle. Horace Lewis Bagwell married Annie Lee Hyatt before 1927. Horace Lewis Bagwell died on 22 October 1966 in Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina, at age 62.¹ He was buried at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina.¹

     James Edward Bagwell was born on 10 January 1932 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. He was the son of Horace Lewis Bagwell and Annie Lee Hyatt. James Edward Bagwell married Marianne (?) after 1946. James Edward Bagwell died on 2 October 1991 in Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina, at age 59. He was buried at Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery, Spartanburg County, South Carolina.

     Myrtle Marie Bagwell was born on 25 November 1907 in South Carolina. She was the daughter of James William Augustus Bagwell and Clevia L. Riddle. Myrtle Marie Bagwell died in September 1973 in Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina, at age 65.

     George Washington Bagwell was born on 15 November 1880 in South Carolina. He was the son of Calvin W. Bagwell and Mary Adeline Steading. George Washington Bagwell married Ollie Inize Alley before 1900. George Washington Bagwell died on 11 January 1951 in Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina, at age 70. Osceola Bagwell married Reverend Tembert Stroud Edmonds after 1915. Osceola Bagwell died on 17 December 1983 at age 83.¹ She was buried at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery, Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina.¹

     Reverend Tembert Stroud Edmonds was born on 4 May 1892.¹ He married Osceola Bagwell, daughter of George Washington Bagwell and Ollie Inize Alley, after 1915. Reverend Tembert Stroud Edmonds died on 23 July 1984 at age 92.¹ He was buried at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery, Spartanburg, Spartanburg County, South Carolina.¹
